 "Just what we needed" 2010-05-03
By Amanda Shepherd (Wabash, IN USA)
I purchased this bumper because I have a 3 month old baby girl that kept getting her feet stuck in between the slats of her crib. I'm a bit of a paranoid mom so I didn't want regular crib bumpers that would make it harder for her to breathe and cut down on the air flow in her crib. She has a solid crib so the side does not drop down. The bumpers fit great and have already saved the binky from hitting the floor several times. There is a gap at the front corners since it is two pieces but that has not been an issue for us. The only complication is the pieces are difficult to pull tight and get the Velcro in an easy to reach location. You do have to pull them back up after the sheets are changed but that took me 3 seconds and wasn't a big deal and with that I can decide how much I want sticking out above the mattress. Overall they are working great and keeping little feet inside the crib!

"Good addition to your baby's crib" 2010-05-03
By Marco Salvatori (Chicago, IL)
After several nights of waking up to our baby crying because of stuck limbs between the lats, we decided to install a breathable crib bumper.

This one is very good, with a soft mesh fabric that makes it almost impossible for a baby to suffocate. It was easy to install and does a very good job of keeping my baby's legs and arms inside the crib. She no longer wakes up stuck between lats.

The only drawback is that it does need constant adjustment to keep it from being pulled too low, and I can see why some people would have trouble with more active babies, as it collapses relatively easy. On the other hand, it is meant to collapse easily because you don't want your baby to not get stuck between the lats only to get strangled in a crib bumper that's too rigid.

Overall, I recommend it because it does what it's supposed to and it's safe. You really can't go wrong with it.

This was very easy to attach to my Ikea Leksvik crib. It attaches with velcro, and so there are no strings to pose a strangulation risk. Before putting this on the crib I put it over my face just to make sure that it was 100% breathable-- and it is! It didn't impair my breathing whatsoever. I wouldn't use any other crib bumper.

"does not fit oeuf crib" 2010-04-11
By dcubed (Houston)
This crib bumper is one-of-a-kind and well constructed, however, despite the company's statements that the bumper fits all cribs, it does not fit the oeuf classic crib. I stretched, triple checked the instructions, and try as I might, I could not get it to fit. I ended up just leaving the end corner open by modifying the instructions to wrap one end around the corner post. I still use it, since there is no other product designed to keep arms and legs in that I feel safe using.

 "security, not worry" 2010-04-07
By Mama Bear (Wilmington, NC)
I'm really glad I purchased this crib bumper. When my son was born we had one of the thicker, traditional decorative bumpers, but as he got older he began to move in his sleep... a LOT! I was concerned about SIDS, like so many new parents are, so I switched to this bumper and felt like I could stop worrying so much. It keeps my active sleeper from getting his feet and hands stuck between the bars, but is much less risky than the thick bumpers. It is made in two pieces so it can fit to any crib, which has pros and cons. It took me a couple tries to make it work in mine and wasn't as seamless and pretty of a fit as the other bumper, but I got used to it. Once I got used to seeing it on his crib I think it looks fine and works great. Actually, because it's thin, it is easier to change his sheets than it was with a thick bumper.
